Get Started
Getting started is as simple as scheduling an evaluation. If you are not
certain whether speech therapy is what you need, call us to schedule a brief
telephone consultation with one of our therapists.
After you have scheduled your first appointment, download and complete the
intake forms on this page. You may email or fax them back to us before your
appointment. A therapist may contact you before your appointment to discuss
the information on the intake forms.
At the beginning of the evaluation, the therapist will spend a few minutes
establishing a rapport with the patient.
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will conduct formal and informal testing
and spend some time with the patient, parent, or caregiver to understand their
concerns and goals. Children may be engaged in informal play routines to elicit
a speech-language sample. An oral motor examination may also be conducted.
Following the evaluation, the SLP will write a report setting forth the results
of the testing. A copy of the report will be provided to you and your physician
should it authorized.
